World Diabetes Day 14th November 2021
26 Nov, 2021
In this health awareness drive we would like to introduce about the "Diabetic Retinopathy". It is a complication of the disease called diabetes (constant high blood sugar level). Diabetes long-term effect results to damaging of Retina or the back side of eyes.
There are no apparent symptoms at initial stage of retinopathy, but the illness gets worse without noticing. There is a possibility of becoming blind after the gradual decline in Visual Acuity.
Early examination for primary detection is very important. A person’s whose blood sugar test result is over 7% on HbA1c during Health Check-up, we recommend to do Eye Check-up regularly.
